Dr. Xzania White Lee is a licensed school and clinical psychologist in California and Texas. As such, she has supported local education agencies in both the southern and west coast regions in a variety of capacities, including: emergency preparedness, special education assessment and intervention, systems-level consultation to support mental health needs of students and trauma-informed pedagogy, community-based presentations, and behavioral management techniques for school staff and parents. Her clinical and research interests focus on providing children and adolescents with culturally appropriate coping skills and techniques to increase psychological functioning, in addition to assisting adults in creating and maintaining a supportive, thriving environment for youth. Dr. Lee has experience integrating culturally responsive practice into a variety of evidence-based treatments. With previous work in both clinic and school settings, her career goal focuses on bridging the communication gap between mental health care and academic systems to support the academic and social-emotional needs of young people.
