About the Project

The School Crisis Recovery & Renewal (SCRR) project, launched in June 2020 with funding from SAMHSA, is a Category II National Child Traumatic Stress Network Treatment and Services Adaptation Center.  SCRR supports students, educators, school staff, and school-based clinicians to effectively implement trauma-informed crisis recovery and renewal strategies.

The National Center for School Crisis and Bereavement is pleased to partner, advise and contribute to this project’s leadership, led by the Center for Applied Research Solutions (CARS) and Trauma Transformed (T2).

The SCRR Team:

Provides training and technical assistance
(TTA) services and resources to state and
local education agencies (SEAs/LEAs); school
leaders & educators; school mental health
providers, community partners and more

Creates curricula, training opportunities,
and best-practice resources to promote
long-term recovery and renewal after
school crisis.

Promotes effective and sustainable
change in the ways school leadership
build the skills, knowledge, and attributes
necessary to recover and renew after a
crisis.
